Embarrassing non-conference scheduling awards – Only BCS conference teams are eligible since everyone else is scrambling for scraps anyway
FCS Award – given to teams playing more than one FCS team
Arizona St. - What an embarrassment. Pac-10 teams shouldn't be doing this considering there is a lack of FCS teams in the region and there are plently of lower-tier WAC and Mountain West programs too put on the schedule.
Syracuse – At least there are two living breathing games on the schedule. This figures to be a one-time thing considering the Orange are frequent visitors to the toughest non-conference list and the second FCS game was a result of broken contracts and poor planning.
Scheduling a bowl-game award – given to those team that are playing such patsies it would be tough to not get to a bowl game
Ole Miss – A seemingly annual visitor, a home game against Fresno St. is the only game the Rebels are playing outside the SEC where they won't be a 20 point favorite. Considering Ole Miss won't be anywhere near what they were the last two years, that is saying a lot.
Kentucky – props for playing at Louisville but that is an in-state rivalry. The rest is awful by any standard. Akron is the tough one of the three remaining games.
Bad-luck award – given to team that tried to schedule one tough game and watched that team collapse giving them a schedule made of creampuffs and candy that is truly embarrassing looking
Missouri – the neutral site Illinois game looks nice but the Illinin stink and, for the most part, have fore quite some time now. Only two odd BCS bowl seasons are keeping the Illini from 10 straight losing years. The rest includes a San Diego St. and a tough test against Miami... wait a minute, why are they on this list? Oh, its Miami (OH). That explains everything.
Oklahoma St. - Scheduling 101. To avoid a list like this, generally it is a good idea for the BCS conference team you schedule to be good enough to win one of your other games. That isn't the case here and yes Washington St. really is that bad.
