After my worst week of the season (5-5 record) my season record now stands at 35-15. That could use some improvement after last week's picks of Georgia, Miami, Nebraska, Colorado, and Wisconsin went awry. Hopefully this week will be better.
Game of the Week - Ohio St. @ Wisconsin
While Wisconsin's loss to Michigan likely cost the school a visit from the College Gameday crew (believe me, nobody really would want to watch Auburn play again), they also should be fully focused on Ohio St. On the other side, Ohio St. looked good with Beanie and Pryor in the game last week, but it won't be enough in Pryor's first road start.
Wisconsin, 24, Ohio St. 21
Oregon @ USC
USC gets up for games when they feel threatened. Oregon is a genuinely threatening opponent, particularly after a loss. Oregon has no healthy quarterback and has issues in pass defense.
USC 34, Oregon 14
Auburn @ Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt is ranked last in the SEC in both total offense and total defense, and they have been getting by with no passing game. That is a recipe for disater against Auburn who will finally be secure with the football this week.
Auburn 17, Vanderbilt 7
Oregon St. @ Utah
Oregon St. strikes me as a team that will be good all year at home and terrible all year on the road. This week is a road game meaning an easy Utah win.
Utah 30, Oregon St. 17
Missouri @ Nebraska
Missouri hasn't won at Nebraska since 1978. Luckily for them, Nebraska has no defense at all. Missouri won't play well, but it will get the win because of tis overwhelming offensive talent.
Missouri 45, Nebraska 31
Connecticut @ North Carolina
In the injured quarterback bowl, North Carolina has a big edge because it already played a game and won without its quatreback. The Tar Heels are also at home.
North Carolina 24, Connecticut 21
Texas @ Colorado
Texas has been untested so far. While they won't be looking ahead to Oklahoma next week after losing to Knasas St. the week before the game last season, they will still be tested. Colorado is a different team at home than they are on the road, but Texas will pull off the late comeback win.
Texas 31, Colorado 30
Illinois @ Michigan
The season could spin out of control for the Illinin with a loss here. Michigan has already defended a similar spread offense (Utah) and will be ready for Illinois at home.
Michigan 21, Illinois 17
Arizona St. @ Cal
Arizona St. is in the same situation as Illinois with one major difference. Cal is a whole lot better than Michigan.
Cal 31, Arizona St. 20
Kentucky @ Alabama
Alabama is going to struggle here. The Kentcuky defense is really good this year and Alabama is still learning the meaning of consistentcy. If this game was in Kentucky, Alabama would lose, but its not. Tide rolls in the 4th.
Alabama 23, Kentucky 17
