Week 4 College Football Picks

After a perfect 10-0 week last week, my record stands at 24-6 after three weeks. It feels so much better than last year’s upset riddled season where 6-4 was a good week for most of it.

Game of the Week
LSU @ Auburn – Auburn’s offense really wasn’t that bad in the 3-2 win over Mississippi St. last week. They gained over 300 yards, an average amount of yardage. If they eliminate the turnovers and make their field goals, they score 20 points easy. Do that this week and it will be enough to win against an LSU defense that hasn’t seen a defense like this one all season and may not see another this good.
Auburn 17, LSU 13

Georgia @ Arizona St. – Arizona St. got caught looking ahead last week and paid for it with an ugly upset defeat. They will be ready for this test, but the offensive line hasn’t been good enough to get enough of a running game going to call for an upset.
Georgia 27, Arizona St. 21

Florida @ Tennessee – Tennessee is much better than they showed against UCLA. Too bad Florida is better than they showed against Miami.
Florida 34, Tennessee 21

Virginia Tech @ North Carolina – Virginia Tech’s loss to East Carolina doesn’t look too bad right now and the win over Georgia Tech was a good win. The bad news is North Carolina has some really good athletes and is playing at home. Tar Heels win because of the home field advantage.
North Carolina 30, Virginia Tech 24

Michigan St. vs Notre Dame – Javon Ringer has been great so far this season while we really don’t know much about Notre Dame. The Irish were lucky to beat a terrible San Diego St. team and benefited from the self-destruction of a terrible Michigan team. The Irish passing game and defense seems to be pretty good though. Good enough to pick against an inconsistent Michigan St. passing game.
Notre Dame 29, Michigan St. 24

Colorado vs West Virginia – Bill Stewart seems like a boob. Colorado was looking ahead in its last game and might be underrated. Colorado wins easily and the Mountaineer faithful fire up www.firebillstewart.com
Colorado 31, West Virginia 17

Alabama @ Arkansas – Arkansas might be 2-0, but they are awful. This is loss number one of what is going to become a 10 game losing streak to end the season.
Alabama 27, Arkansas 14

Oregon vs Boise St. – We really don’t know much about Boise St., but we know Oregon is dominant at home, no matter the quarterback.
Oregon 38, Boise St. 17

Wake Forest @ Florida St. – Wake Forest is going to send Florida St. back to the land of unranked teams where they belong right now. The Florida St. quarterbacks will struggle against their best competition of the season so far.
Wake Forest 27, Florida St. 20

Utah @ Air Force – Air Force won last week without completing a forward pass. Neither of those things will happen this week. Utah will win and Air Force will complete some forward passes in the attempted comeback.
Utah 31, Air Force 21
