College Football Game Picks - Week 9?!? already...

Results
Last Week SU: 3-7 (I'm entitled to one miserable week per season, right), ATS 0-9-1 (you could have made a lot of money picking against me last week)
Season to date SU: 47-33 ATS 39-39-2

Game of the Week – Kansas St. vs Oklahoma (-13.5)
I was all set to pick Kansas St. in this game. Then Oklahoma went and lost to Texas Tech. There is no way the Sooners are going to lose two games in a row because of a lack of focus and Kansas St. isn't talented enough to beat Oklahoma without the Sooners having a lack of focus, previous results this season notwithstanding. Landry Jones will have a big game and the Kansas St. offense won't be able to keep up when forced to pass.
Oklahoma 41, Kansas St. 24

Nebraska (-4) vs Michigan St.
The Cornhuskers are way overrated. The defense is only average and Taylor Martinez can't move the ball against a good defense. Michigan St.'s defense is certainly good and the offense has come around enough to lead Sparty to a surprisingly easy win.
Michigan St. 27, Nebraska 10

USC vs Stanford (-7.5)
The Trojans looked really good against Notre Dame last week and still needed the ND turnover machine to secure victory. That doesn't bode well going into this. Once again, I believe the Stanford defense will yield some points and yards, but the offense won't be stopped by USC because Andrew Luck might actually be smarter than the senile old Monte Kiffin at this point.
Stanford 48, USC 30

Georgia Tech vs Clemson (-3.5)
Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins continue to be immune to whatever normally ails Clemson. At the same time, the wheels fell off the Ramblin' Wreck the last two weeks and even if they find themselves, I don't trust this defense (or really any defense other than LSU or Alabama) to stop Clemson's absurd offense.
Clemson 40, Georgia Tech 24

Penn St. (-5) vs Illinois
Let me preface this by saying this game will be ugly and watching it will be a chore that nobody should be put through. The Illinois offense hasn't scored a point in the first three quarters in its last two games. The Penn St. offense is developing, but they were on last week so there's no way that will happen again, especially against an Illinois defense that has been quite good, even in defeat this season. The winner though, will be the Nittany Lion defense. They are at home and are, I think, the third best defense in the country.
Penn St. 17, Illinois 10

Oklahoma St. (-14.5) vs Baylor
Baylor will score points. They might even score a lot of points. Robert Griffin III is that good. He doesn't play defense though and Baylor's defense will only avoid the cellar in the Big 12 because of the presence of Kansas and the offense they possess. This won't be pretty.
Oklahoma St. 63, Baylor 36

TCU (-13.5) vs BYU
BYU has found a spark with Riley Nelson under center, but that has been against a subpar schedule to say the least. Meanwhile TCU got really well last week against New Mexico (that awful team has pretty much quit), but the jury is still out, especially on defense. I suspect the BYU offensive renaissance is more of a mirage than the TCU defensive revival.
TCU 20, BYU 14

Georgia (-3) vs Florida
John Brantley is going to play. If by some chance he doesn't, throw everything I say here out and go with Georgia because Driskell and Brissett are incompetent enough to blow this game even. Georgia is in Jacksonville for the Cocktail Party. Come on. Everyone knows how this is going to go. Georgia should win. They will make some stupid plays and lose even though they shouldn't, just like every year they are favored. With Brantley playing, Florida will be able to take advantage, or at least enough to not look awful.
Florida 24, Georgia 21

Tennessee vs South Carolina (-4)
Heaven help Tennessee. There is a plague around that program right now (aka you morons hired Lane Kiffin to replace the most successful coach you have ever had). Derek Dooley isn't the man to fix it though, especially with a true freshman quarterback making his first start. But he still has the orange pants. As for South Carolina, getting super injured and depthless Tennessee is a much needed warm up for Arkansas next week.
South Carolina 21, Tennessee 10

Rutgers vs West Virginia (-7)
Both of these teams were thought to be the frontrunners in the Big East. Then last Friday came and both teams played quite badly, making this a coinflip elimination game (at least we think). The winner here will be the one who shores up its weakness better during the week. I suspect that West Virginia's defense will be better than Rutgers offense.
West Virginia 30, Rutgers 24
