Week 12 Viewer's Guide

Morning Games – 9 AM PT Kickoff
Michigan vs Wisconsin – ESPN
North Carolina vs NC State – ACC Syndication/ESPN Gameplan
South Florida vs Pittsburgh – ESPN2
Michigan St. vs Purdue – Big Ten Network
Indiana vs Penn St. - Big Ten Network
Boston College vs Virginia – ESPNU
South Carolina vs Troy – SEC Syndication/ESPN Gameplan

All eyes should be on the Michigan/Wisconsin game in this time slot. Wisconsin's offense has been great lately and its defense comes up with one of two clunkers per season and there hasn't been one yet. It will disappointing if this is not one of the most fun shootouts of the season. Everything else is ho hum though if you have access to the Battle of North Carolina it could be entertaining and it is relevant to the ACC title chase. The South Florida-Pittsburgh game does matter in the Big East title chase, but who actually wants to watch that kind of football.

Afternoon Games – 1230 PM PT Kickoff
Iowa vs Ohio St. - ABC
Miami vs Virginia Tech – ESPN
Cal vs Stanford – FSN
Northwestern vs Illinois – ESPNU
LSU vs Ole Miss – CBS
Navy vs Arkansas St. - CBS College Sports

The Iowa/Ohio St. would have been so much bigger had Iowa not lost to Northwestern last week. That said, its still a huge game at least for Ohio St. Other than that, Virginia Tech can clinch its half of the ACC at Miami and Stanford can stay on track for a possible Rose Bowl bid by winning at Cal. Also, there is the novelty game at Wrigley Field that should be worth a look. If none of that suffices, Les Miles is on and that always has the possibility of entertaining and going horribly wrong.

Primetime Games – 4-5 PM PT Kickoff
Texas A&M vs Nebraska – ABC Regional/ESPN Gameplan
Baylor vs Oklahoma – ESPN2
Maryland vs Florida St. - ABC Regional/ESPN Gameplan
Mississippi St. vs Arkansas – ESPN
Syracuse vs Connecticut – ESPNU
Oregon St. vs USC – ABC Regional/ESPN Gameplan
Southern Miss vs Houston – CBS College Sports
Army vs Notre Dame – NBC

Too bad for the poor saps like me who live on the West Coast and don't have the money to pay for Gameplan. The primetime window is going to be ugly with two of the better games unavailable. At least we on the West Coast can watch the battle of ranked teams in the SEC. It is nothing more than that with the conference title matchup already decided.
